Calcium for food additives
Made from High-Quality Limestone Mined in Kochi
We use high-quality limestone mined in Kochi Prefecture as our raw material, and our own limestone calcination technology to produce high-purity, high-quality calcium products for food additive use.
These are used as coagulants for konjac and as calcium fortifiers across a range of food applications. Because we handle everything from quarrying through calcination to quality control ourselves, lot-to-lot variation is kept to a minimum.
- High purity
- Good dispersibility in water
- Low heavy metal content

Aji-ikkan Ichimanryo (Calcium Oxide for Food Additives)
Aji-ikkan Ichimanryo is a calcium oxide for food additive use. It has a low content of heavy metals such as lead and arsenic, and has been used for many years as a coagulant for konjac and as a fortifier and other food additive applications.
Its gentle reactivity makes it straightforward to work with, and it is particularly recommended for sashimi konjac, where it contributes to a clear finish and a clean, less astringent taste.

Hanakobai, Kontarou and Shinyuki (Calcium Hydroxide for Food Additives)
Three grades of calcium hydroxide for food additive use are available: Hanakobai, Kontarou and Shinyuki. All can be used as food additives, including as coagulants for konjac and as fortifiers.
Hanakobai in particular is controlled to a quality standard tighter than the food additive standard itself. We have also obtained Kochi Prefecture's HACCP certification as part of our commitment to quality improvement.
